Meet Lilly, Nature Beads curator!
Oh, Hi everyone! I have never properly introduced myself here, nor on #Instagram & #Facebook and sometimes we forget there are busy hands & creative minds behind these social media posts. And, since we have some new followers, I thought it would be the perfect time to share a bit about me, the woman behind Nature Beads.
I’m Lilly, born and raised in the Amazon, Brazil. I moved to the USA almost 12 years and Florida is home now. I’m a Fish Biologist by degree, but an artist at heart. I’ve been making jewelry since I was 15 years old and when I moved to the USA, I had to do something to keep my mind going until I learned to speak English. As I learned the language, Nature Beads also started growing and it is my full-time job. So, thank you for joining me on my journey, thank you for shopping small & helping to support our little family.
I love my family, present and past. A family is a family always and forever. I love raining days… I love the rain so much! I love to watch sunrises and sunsets. I’m a serious coffee drinker, mad cake eater (no regrets here) and if you want to start a conversation, offer me a Chai. I love food and became a vegetarian about a year ago. I particularly love to bake and the last three months of the year are by far my favorites. The weather, the colors, smells and all that baking. I give 98% of my baking to local businesses and friends.
I love hats, they were made for me. I’m pretty colorful and my house is a hodgepodge of colors, kind like NB is. I love to workout and #jumprope is seriously my new addiction, matter fact my is go to stress reliever! I have two #germanshepherd dogs that are my babies and I co-parent a little one that fulfills my heart with so much joy. My mother often says she doesn’t know how I turned into this wild person, full of trinkets, colors, and love for the world. I often reply it is the residue from past lives. She laughs!
I love incense and I smudge often because I’m addicted to it. I love nature, flowers, and animals. Give them all to me, I’m a happy gal! Turquoise is one of my favorite stones and I gravitate to blue and purple of all tones. My English is good, but not perfect. Again, I don’t have to be perfect to love myself. Or make good work. Or be happy. Frankly, perfectly imperfect is more my speed.
Well, that sums it for now! Thank you all for taking the time to read this.
