This color is just gorgeous and very unusual. I had never seen this color of Vinyl Record Beads before and I am glad they made their way to the shop. The strands are approximately 34″ long, strung in a loop as it is worn in Africa, perfect to wear as it is or to transform into beautiful Jewelry. Made in Mali, Africa, from Vulcanite, these black beads are one of the modern cuts. The Vinyl Record Beads are commonly called “Vinyl Record Beads”, however, these are made from vulcanite, which is nothing more than compressed rubber used for jewelry making during the Victorian period. You can also call them as “Jijida Beads”, which is their native name.
