Beautiful large authentic Porcupine Quills from Africa, in a rich mixture of Black, Dark Brown, and White stripes and ready to be used. Our quills are cruelty-free and animals are NOT hurt in any way. The quill will come off naturally and are gathered from the ground - not pulled from the animal. Porcupines are very sensitive animals and sometimes even getting them to jump down from 3 feet height, will make them dispatch their quills as a defense mechanism note, that the quills will fall out easily and regrow quickly just like our human hair.

Porcupine quills are naturally very pointy and sharp feeling like needles, so please be careful! They will vary in size, shape, and color from one to another, this listing ranging from 5-7 inches long and being of a good size. While thickness will vary, these are about 5 to 6mm thick. Porcupine Quills were used as home adornments and in tribal jewelry, but they have been used in many ways, from modern fashion jewelry, crafts, basketry, hair sticks, costumes, art projects, and more.
