Telescopium telescopium or Telescopium auger, or "Horn snail," is a species of marine gastropod molluscs in the family Potamididae. It is found in mangrove forests throughout the coastlines of the Indian Ocean. This large snail has an 8–15 cm tall, conical shell strongly reminiscent of an ice cream cone. T. telescopium is commonly seen in Southeast Asian mangroves, on mud, sometimes in the hundreds covering a large area. It is also called 'Rodong' or 'Berongan' in Malay.
Each piece is unique and will vary from one to another. They are around 2 1/2 inches to 3 inches in size. The color is absolutely beautiful, ranging from light to dark brown with cream-white color throughout the piece. They're commonly used in shell crafts, making shell mirrors, seashell ornaments, shell candles, shell art, and numerous shell craft products. They will look absolutely amazing at a beach wedding!
